The TR4 was upgraded to the TR4A in 1965 with the addition of independent rear suspension Introduced in 1961, the TR4 had a completely new body designed by Giovanni Michelotti. This last version of the TR3 was unofficially known as the TR3B. A further development, with the larger engine as standard and with a fully synchromesh gearbox, was made available in 1962, the final year of TR3 production. After a restyle in 1957, the TR3 was available with a larger 2.2 litre and the car was unofficially known as the TR3A. The TR3, introduced in 1955, had a front grille, a more powerful engine and in October 1956, the front brakes were changed from 10 in drums to 11 in discs. The TR2 formed the basis of the evolution of the TR line up to the TR6 The Triumph TR2, first shown in March 1953 at the Geneva Motor Show, was an evolution of the Triumph 20TS with a larger boot, built on an all-new frame with revised suspension and brakes and an uprated engine.

I may be small tolerance difference that causes a fitments problem.We undertake numerous Triumph jobs every year, from building engines for road or race, to repairing chassis. I had no problem installing the filter bag. I failed to measure the small rubber hose from the old installation and after putting it together I found it was a little to long and had to disassemble to cut the hose to match. I had a little problem assembling the pump but it was due to operator error. Works much better than the external pump installed by the PO.
Very high quality, very easy installation. Not shown on the picture the kit even includes the mounting grommet to fit the pump in the bracket. The gasket is available from the Wedge shop and is inexpensive, so why not just include it in the kit? The service from Woody is terrific. The only reason for the 4 star rating is that a new gasket is not included in the kit. The hardest part is draining the gas tank, the rest is as easy as abc.
Priced a little higher than others, it includes nearly everything, and is a perfect fit. Hope it lasts since working with a fuel tank is not fun. This is the correct replacement pump with the right filter.
